About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Engineer to join our growing Data Centre team. This role is ideal for a driven engineering graduate with 2–4 years of experience who is eager to develop their skills in a dynamic and high-performance environment. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our data center infrastructure.

As a Junior Engineer, you will work across electrical, mechanical, and systems domains to support daily operations and long-term infrastructure initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and continuous uptime in a mission-critical facility.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Technical Support and Maintenance

  • Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure including power, cooling, network, and storage systems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware and system failures, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support the deployment, installation, and storage systems.

2. System Monitoring and Optimization

  • Use diagnostic tools to proactively identify performance issues.
  • Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure infrastructure scalability and reliability.
  • Support disaster recovery planning and system backup operations.

3. Security and Compliance

  • Support compliance efforts with standards like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.

4. Documentation and Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and incident responses.
  • Collaborate with teams from IT, security, and facilities to support seamless data center operations.
  • Communicate technical issues and updates clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or related field).
  • 2–4 years of experience in data center or infrastructure engineering roles.
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Data center infrastructure systems (power, cooling, networking, storage).
    • Server and storage technologies (SAN, NAS, cloud storage).
    • HVAC and power systems (UPS, generators, electrical cabling).
  • Experience with monitoring and automation tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and documentation abilities.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced technical environment.
